MÖRK BORG to Boundless creature conversion
Hit Points: A creature has the same number of Hit Points in Boundless as it does in MÖRK BORG. For example, a creature with 4 Hit Points in MÖRK BORG has 4 Hit Points in Boundless.
Armor: In MÖRK BORG, Armor reduces Damage using a die roll. In Boundless, Armor reduces Damage by a fixed amount. To convert MÖRK BORG Armor, replace its damage-reduction die with the equivalent Boundless Armor rating:
d2: 1 Armor
d4: 2 Armor
d6: 3 Armor
Weapons: In MÖRK BORG, weapon Damage dice range from d4 to d12. Because Boundless uses only d6s, weapon Damage ranges from 1D-1 to 1D+3. When I designed this mechanic, the average Damage values aligned perfectly, one to one, with the average rolls of d4, d6, d8, d10, and d12. To convert a MÖRK BORG weapon’s Damage die, use the following Boundless Damage ratings:
d4: 1D-1 Damage
d6: 1D Damage
d8: 1D+1 Damage
d10: 1D+2 Damage
d12: 1D+3 Damage
Morale: In MÖRK BORG, some creatures will not fight to the death and have a Morale score. Roll 2d6 and compare the result to the creature’s Morale score to determine whether it continues fighting or retreats. Boundless uses Morale Pools, a concept included in the full version of the game but not the trifold version. Convert a MÖRK BORG Morale score using the following ratings:
Morale 7 or lower: 2D Morale Pool
Morale 8: 4D Morale Pool
Morale 9: 6D Morale Pool
Morale 10 or higher: 8D Morale Pool
No Morale score: No Morale Pool
Roll a group’s Morale Pool when its leader or half its members fall. Roll a lone enemy’s Morale Pool when it has lost half its Hit Points. When a Morale Pool empties, the enemies break, flee, or surrender.
