I think monthly is enough. I personally can’t keep up with reading all the blogs I love. Also, while a devlog might interest others, I’d be more interested in learning about HOW you create games. Maybe your devlogs are written with this mind?
A topic to consider: your Fari Games website. I put things on Itch thinking it would provide an audience. It does not (it’s a huge void of games and stuff). I’ve been thinking lately… why not make my own site the way I want it? If I’m driving my audience to my own Itch site, anyway… why not? I’d love to hear your thinking in this.
Personally I like there to be a reason for a newsletter, something I can get out of by reading. So the monthly update stuff for me is ideal.
The TTRPG space has a glut of people writing about writing, I like it when people are writing about doing something. You're always doing something, so I think it's fine to just write about that :)
You could probably have separate lists for folk that want more or less mail, if you care to handle the extra maintenance. Once you set it up, the less frequent one could just include the more frequent one as a CC: maybe.
I have days where I come down on either side of this, but generally, I like to be able to see that you've added a post so that I know I can go read it when I get a minute.

Yeah writing devlogs with a behind the scene of here is what I do and why I do it this way. I like this
